Comedian Tim Allen remarked on the irony at play during King Charles III’s speech before Congress this week, considering many of the fawning Democrats on hand participated in recent “No Kings” rallies.

“Would have been funny to see the facial reactions of an actual King with a no Kings parade yelling at him,” Allen posted on X, along with a photo of King Charles delivering his speech in the U.S. House of Representatives.

As reported by Fox News, the heavily-funded “No Kings” protests began on Presidents Day in February 2025 ‘as a backlash to the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency and broader efforts to shrink the federal government.”

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was among the Democratic lawmakers who spoke about “creeping authoritarianism” at a recent “No Kings” protest, though she was seen warmly welcoming a real king while taking photos of the occasion.
