A former Minnesota state trooper has a question about the surge in Somali gang violence in the Twin Cities: where the hell is Ilhan Omar?

Minneapolis-St. Paul has been plagued by a spate of violent incidents from youthful members of the area’s huge Somalian diaspora, a mass of ingrates who refuse to assimilate and have drawn criticism for their tendency to leech off of social services programs, that is if they’re not engaging in rampant swindling and fraud.

In one incident of note, gunfire broke out at a high school football game in the Minneapolis suburb of  Eden Prairie last week in which two teens were struck. Another story of concern involves around 100 shell casings that were discovered in Bloomington, home of the Mall of America.

But amid the rising violence, the hijab-swaddled “Squad” loudmouth who represents the area in the U.S. Congress has been the invisible woman, and former state trooper John Nagel called her out for failing to use her influential voice to address the violent predatory elements of the Somali community.

“Where is Ilhan Omar in all of this?” Nagel asked during an interview with Fox News Digital. “I would think that as a congressman that represents this particular area that she’d be at these meetings or she’d have a statement or she’d be sitting down and saying, ‘Hey, how can we help this? How could we stop this?’ And I don’t see her.”

The 30-year law enforcement veteran also ripped other local Democrats like Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, whom he accused of having their “heads in the sand” for restraining police from doing their jobs.

Minneapolis was a hotbed of the defund the police movement as well as the epicenter of the national race riots that erupted during the summer of 2020 when black career criminal and drug addict George Floyd died while resisting arrest.

“They’re being restrained by politicians, people that are trying soft on crime, people that’re trying to send somebody other than a police officer to take care of issues, and it’s not working,” Nagel told the outlet, singling out Minnesota Gov. “Tampon” Tim Walz and the state’s radical Muslim Attorney General Keith Ellison, who “don’t want enforcement.”

“The people do,” he said. “They’re tired of it,” he said, adding that criminal coddling Democrats have “emboldened” the thugs.

“Because of how the Democrats have run Minnesota over the years, these gang members and then just crooks in general, they’re emboldened by this,” Nagel said.

Authorities have charged 18-year-old Adam Abdihakeem Adam with two counts of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and second-degree riot in the football game shooting.

“This was an alarming and dangerous act that injured two people and frightened many more. Mr. Adam will be held accountable,” Moriarty said in a statement. “Violence in our communities is completely unacceptable, and it requires a professional, coordinated response, which happened here.”

But so far, there have been crickets from Congresswoman Omar.

Nagel also told Fox News Digital that people are afraid of being smeared as “racist” for pointing out that the gangs are Somali.

“I mean, we have Latino gangs and Asian gangs and black gangs, and we have Somali gangs. This is not being prejudicial,” he said, identifying the violence as a “Somali problem” and pointing out that’s “who’s showing up.”

“It’s ridiculous,” he said. “I’m a police officer. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what color you are,” he said.

Nagel also recommends that a “gang task force” would help to address the problem and that “We don’t need to pass any more laws. We don’t need any more people asking for money to help their group. We need to take the laws that we have and prosecute people.”

In a Thursday post to Truth Social that has rattled cages, President Donald J. Trump called for Minnesotans to “fight back” since they have been abandoned by the Democrat criminal enablers in their state and local government.

“The once Great State of Minnesota is being taken over by Somali Immigrants. There is Violence, Murder, and Mayhem all over the State. The people of Minnesota must fight back. You have been robbed, and abandoned by your State Government. Your Governor is an incompetent thief who doesn’t want to get involved,” the president said.

“He just wants to get out of town with as much as he can steal, and then, lead a quiet life. The Somalians should not be allowed to get away with what they are doing. They view you as weak and stupid people. Fight back Minnesota, fight back!” Trump added.

Omar did see fit to respond to that, but not about the root cause.

“We need enforcement, we need arrests, and we need incarceration,” Nagel said. “Otherwise, this is going to continue to spiral.”
